Center Valley, PA (September 11, 2019) - The DeSales University men's soccer team got three goals from three newcomers blanking Gwynedd-Mercy University, 3-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened

• DSU opened the scoring just 4:55 into the game and went up 2-0 in the 19th minute on similar goals featuring centering passes that were knocked into the back of the net.
• The Bulldogs made it a three-goal game in the 66th minute and kept the game scoreless throughout recording the team's first shutout of the year.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Freshman Anthony Contreras scored the game's first goal on terrific feed from sophomore TJ Mastowski.
• The second goal came off the head of junior Sean Murray after a centering pass from freshman Francis Barilo.
• The final tally was a shot on the back post by freshman Dimeji Oyinkolade after a beautiful centering feed from junior Josh Richards.
• Sophomore Nathan Hatzfeld made three saves to record his first career shutout.
