Sabrina Ricciardi posted a runner-up finish at No. 6 singles leading the DeSales University women's tennis team on day two of the MAC Individual Tournament.
DSU had four singles players and two doubles teams earn spots into the semifinals on Saturday to compete for individual championships on Sunday.
Sophomore
Kirsten Kosa earned her semifinal spot at the No. 2 singles spot but fell to Audrey Heaberlin (Stevens), 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9) in a really tight match.
Sophomore
Alex Rodier earned a semifinal spot in the No. 3 singles bracket but fell to Alexis Fuda (Stevens), 6-0, 6-0.
Ricciardi won her semifinal match-up over Leah Kemper (Alvernia), 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7), before falling to Rachel Thomas (Wilkes), 6-1, 7-5 in the championship match.
Senior
Kelsey Kazlauskas was the final singles player to make a semifinal appearance in the No. 7 flight, falling to Sarah Malone (Wilkes), 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles action Kosa and sophomore
Bailey Greco lost in the semifinals to Fuda/Calandra (Stevens), 8-2 and Rodier and freshman
Abby Connors dropped its semifinal match, 8-4, to Malone/Cieri (Wilkes).
The Bulldogs wrap-up its fall schedule on Friday, October 4th when they host PSU-Berks.
