Baseball Drops Second Straight, 16-3 at Texas Lutheran

Seguin, TX (March 10, 2020) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped its second straight game on its spring trip falling at Texas Lutheran University, 16-3, on Tuesday evening.

How it Happened
  • DeSales took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a wild pitch and sacrifice fly from senior Sergio Diaz.
  • TLU had the answer scoring four times in the bottom half of the inning and five times in the second inning, hitting back-to-back-to-back home runs to take a 9-2 lead.
  • DSU got another run in the third but did not threaten the rest of the way.

  • Freshman Thomas Carpenter led DeSales going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
  • Sophomore Johnathan Pozniak took the loss allowing five runs over 1 1/3 innings of work.
