Leesburg, FL (March 13, 2020) - The DeSales University dropped its final two games of its spring trip to Florida by identical 4-1 scores to Haverford and Mount Union on Friday afternoon.
Game One (L/1-4 vs. Haverford)
The Bulldogs trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning when juniorÂ
Reilly Kerr knocked in sophomore
Gianna D'Acunto who had singled to lead off the inning.
The Fords had the answer however scoring three times in the top of the seventh and DSU was unable to find the tying tallies in the bottom half.
DeSales had six hits by six different players in the loss. SophomoreÂ
Julia Testagrose took the loss allowing four runs over seven innings, striking out two.
Game Two (L/1-4 vs. Mount Union)
DSU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning as juniorÂ
Caitlyn Newsom scored on a Mt. Union error with two outs after a leadoff walk.
Mount Union tied the game in the bottom of the third inning and took the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth scoring three times to post the final tally.

Shannon Hill took the loss allowing four runs over 4 2/3 innings. FreshmanÂ
Jayden Carlucci and seniorÂ
Erin Redden each had two hits for the Bulldogs.
