Orlando, FL (March 9, 2020) - The DeSales University women's tennis team opened its spring trip to Florida with a 6-3 win over University of Northwestern (MN) on Monday morning.

Doubles
DSU took two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead as sophomore Kirsten Kosa and senior Amber Achenbach earned an 8-1 win at the No. 2 slot and junior Alex Rodier and sophomore Bailey Greco took home an 8-7 (7-3) hard fought win in the No. 3 flight to give DSU the early lead.

Singles
The Bulldogs then finished off the win taking four of the six singles matches.  Kosa won 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 flight and sophomore Annie Rakos was a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 winner in the No. 2 flight.

Other singles winners included Achenbach at the No. 3 position, 6-4, 6-0 and Greco in the five spot, 6-0, 6-0.

The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow morning at 8:00 am vs. Ursinus College.
