Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 20, 2021) - The DeSales University volleyball team stayed unbeaten in MAC Freedom play with a 3-0 win at Wilkes University on Wednesday evening.

• Records: DeSales (14-9, 6-0 MAC Freedom); Wilkes (9-15, 1-5 MAC Freedom)
• The Bulldogs earn their eighth straight win over Wilkes and improve to 29-4 all-time vs. the Colonels.
• DSU clinches a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason for the 18th time and the 14th straight season.

How it Happened

• DSU held Wilkes to a negative hitting percentage in the first set to get off to a good start with a 25-16 win.
• The Bulldogs never trailed in the second set and totaled 15 kills in the third set to close out the match.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Junior Caroline Garretson and sophomore Shannon McDevitt each had nine kills in the win.
• Garretson hit .421 and McDevitt had three blocks.
• Junior Austen Brewer finished with seven kills.
• Senior Audrey Wolfe and sophomore Grace Grandinetti each had 15 assists and Grandinetti added 10 digs and three aces.
• Junior McKenzie Brady finished with 13 digs and three aces and sophomore Alyson Maddalone equaled Brady with 13 digs.

• Kelsey Carroll led the Colonels with five kills and 16 digs.
• Nicole Fitzpatrick had six blocks.
