Center Valley, PA (November 4, 2021) - The #2 seeded DeSales University women's soccer team will host the #3 seed, Stevens Institute of Technology, in the MAC Freedom semifinals this afternoon at 2:00 pm with the winner advancing to the MAC Freedom Championship on Saturday.
MAC Freedom Postseason History
The Bulldogs will be making their 10th appearance in the MAC Freedom postseason and this will be the seventh straight year DeSales has been in the conference postseason. It will be just the fourth time DSU has been at home and the first time since the 2015 season. DeSales won the MAC Freedoom Championship in 2015. The Bulldogs are 4-8 all-time in the conference postseason and 3-2 at home.
Series History vs. Stevens
These two teams have met five times and this for the first time since the 2001 season. SIT handed DSU one of its two MAC Freedom losses this season,
a 2-1 decision in double overtime back on October 2nd. The Ducks hold a 3-2 lead in the all-time series. These two teams have split two career meetings at DeSales.
Tickets/Ways to Follow Tonight
Spectators are welcome to attend tonight. Tickets will be available at the field and are priced at $5 (Adults), $4 (Sr. Citizens), $2 (students and children). All children under the age of 6 with an adult are FREE. All DeSales students will be admitted for free with their ID.

What's Next
The other semifinal on Wednesday features the #1 seed (Misericordia) hosting the #4 seed (Wilkes). The two winners will meet on Saturday at the highest remaining seed's home site with that winner earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

DeSales enters the conference postseason with a 13-4 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the MAC Freedom. The 13 wins tie for the second most in program history and a win this afternoon will tie the single-season record set back in 2015. Junior

Kerrigan de Meij equals Corbran with three goals and four assists for 10 points. The defense is led by senior

Tess Rodgers, while sophomore
Hannah Pacheco is sporting a 1.35 GAA in 15 starts this season totaling six shutouts.
