Center Valley, PA (December 20, 2021) - The DeSales University women's basketball team started and finished strong earning its sixth straight win, 67-46, over Cabrini University in non-conference action on Monday evening in Billera Hall.

- DeSales is now 40-10 all-time vs. the Cavaliers and improve to 24-2 vs. Cabrini at home.
- The Bulldogs have now won six straight on the season and 18 straight at home, five shy of tying the all-time mark.
- The win is also #597 for head coach Fred Richter, three wins shy of earning win #600 in his career.
How it Happened
- The Bulldogs looked as if they were going to run away with this one early scoring the first 10 points of the game and leading 19-2 before Cabrini closed the first quarter with a bucket.
- After DSU scored the first basket of the second quarter, CU out-scored DeSales, 17-7, the rest of the half to close within seven points (28-21) at the break.
- A three-point play from Miranda Liebtag to start the third quarter closed the gap to four points and it was a six-point game at the 5:17 mark before DeSales scored six straight points to reclaim a double digit cushion, 42-30.
- The lead was nine after three quarters and DSU dominated the fourth quarter out-scoring Cabrini, 23-11, to put the game away.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Senior Averi Jordan recorded her second double-double of the season and the 13th of her career with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
- Sophomore Lindsey Welsh tied her career-high with 18 points and added eight rebounds and four assists.
- Sophomore Mikaela Reese finished with 12 points.
For the Foes
- Liebtag was the lone Cavalier in double figures with 18 points.
- Giana Rullo finished two points shy of a double-double with eight points and 10 boards.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales shot 42.9 percent from the field and torched the second-half nets hitting 16-for-26 (61.5%).
- The Bulldogs defense held Cabrini to just 26.2 percent shooting for the game.
