Center Valley, PA (December 29, 2021) - The 24th ranked DeSales University men's basketball team rolled past Neumann University, 96-56, in the first game of the Al Senavitis Memorial Holiday Tournament on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

How it Happened
- DeSales put this game away early pushing an early 12-9 lead into a 19-point advantage with an 18-2 run a nine and a half minute span that included seven straight points from senior Timmy Edwards.
- The lead cotinued to grow peaking at 30 points (50-20) at the halftime break.
- Neumann cut into the margin early in the second-half getting within 23 points once before DeSales finished strong opening up a lead as high as 42 points before the final tally.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Seven different players saw action in the win with 16 reaching the scoring column.
- Sophomore Ryan Boylan recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, adding four assists.
- Junior Jordan Holmqvist, Edwards, and first-year Caleb Gibbs each had 11 points to lead the Bulldogs in scoring column.
- Senior Matt Kachelries added seven points and a game-high nine assists in the win.
For the Foes
- KJ Speller led the Knights with 13 points and pulled down eight boards.
- Jalen Vaughns added 12 points and seven boards.
- Tony James also reached double digits with 10 points.
