It was DSU's first game since the end of the 2019 Fall season, more than 500 days. The Bulldogs came out firing scoring the game's first five goals before the Golden Wolves finally got on the board.
DeSales broke the scoreless tie with 2:25 left in the first quarter as Ball collected a rebound of sophomore
Ashlee Jopp's reverse shot and beat the GK near post. It remained a one goal game till the 9:23 mark of the second quarter when Ball found Trocki streaking behind the defense and she beat the Alvernia GK 1-v-1 for the game's second goal on a beautiful play that started in the defensive end and featured three crisp passes without Alvernia ever touching the ball.
Just over two minutes later DSU made it 3-0 when Trocki dribbled into the circle and found Ball who finished on the far post. The Bulldogs finished off the first-half scoring with 2:23 left in the second quarter with a goal off a corner as Jopp ripped a corner feed from sophmore
Grace DeThomas.
Sophomore

Alvernia got on the board after that before DSU posted the final margin with 3:20 left to play when Trocki collected her own rebound and scored unassisted.
