Ambler, PA (April 10, 2021) - The DeSales University baseball team swept another MAC Freedom DH taking both ends at Arcadia on Saturday afternoon by scores of 4-3 and 17-13 to run its win streak to 13-straight games, one shy of tying the team record.
Game One (W/4-3)
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when sophomoreÂ
Thomas Carpenter walked, stole second, and scored on a base hit by juniorÂ
Robert Lamm.
Arcadia scored three unearned runs over the third and fourth innings to take a 3-1 lead but seniorÂ
Sergio Diaz came thru in the top of the fifth inning hitting a two-out three-run home run giving the Bulldogs a 4-3 lead.

John Poccia did the rest facing the minimum over the final three innings, picking off a runner at first base to end the game in the seventh inning. He improved to 2-1 on the year allowing just three hits and striking out two.
Game Two (W/17-13)
In game two it was the bat's turn. Leading 2-1 after three innings, the Bulldogs put three more on the board on an RBI single from Carpenter and a two-RBI double from seniorÂ
Ethan Carmack in the fourth inning.
DSU then broke it open with seven runs in the sixth inning to take a 12-1 lead. Six different players had RBIs in the frame including a two-RBI single from Carpenter, an RBI double from juniorÂ
Billy Scanlon, and an RBI triple from freshmanÂ
Gavin Zavorski.
The Knights answered with four runs in the bottom of the sixth but the Bulldogs got those right back with a five spot in the seventh to lead 17-5 and held on late for the four run win.
SophomoreÂ
Ryan Rieber earned the win to improve to 3-0 on the year allowing four runs over five innings, striking out four.
Carpenter led the offensive attack going 4-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Carmack had two hits and knocked in three runs, Lamm had two hits and two RBIs, JuniorÂ
Trevor Leamer was 4-for-6 with two runs scored, and Zavorski had two hits and two RBIs. SophomoresÂ
