Dallas, PA (May 1, 2021) - The DeSales University women's tennis team earned a hard fought 6-3 win over Misericordia University in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon to clinch the #3 seed in this week's MAC Freedom postseason tournament.
The postseason tournament will get started on Tuesday with DSU's opponent to be announced following the rest of this weekend's results.
Doubles
DSU trailed 2-1 after the doubles competition with junior
Annie Rakos and senior
Alex Rodier teaming to win 8-5 in the No. 2 flight.
Singles
The Bulldogs rallied in singles play earning wins in flights 2 thru 6 to close out the match.
Rakos won 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) in the No. 2 flight, junior
Bailey Greco won 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 3 hole, and Rodier was a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 winner in the No. 4 position. Freshman
Morgan Landau was a 7-6 (8-6), 7-5 winner in the No. 5 flight and senior
Sabrina Ricciardi was a 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 winner in the final flight.
