Lindsay Shoemaker took home the #4 doubles championship leading the DeSales University women's tennis team at the MAC Individual Tournament this weekend.
Singles
#1 Flight
Senior
Kirsten Kosa earned two wins on Saturday to advance into the semifinals with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the opening round over Addie Atkins (King's) and then earned a hard-fought quarterfinals win over the #3 seed, Elsa Ostermarker (York), 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (11-9). On Sunday, Kosa fell to Agatha Malinowski of Stevens, 6-0, 6-1.

Senior
Bailey Greco was a 6-1, 6-3 winner in the opening round over Rachel Marcroft (Messiah) but fell in the quarterfinals to the #2 seed, 6-2, 6-4.

Sophomore
Morgan Landau was also a first-round winner, 6-3, 6-3 over Lily Summerson (Alvernia) before falling to the #4 seed, Brianna Rohrer, 6-2, 6-4.

Nyah Tomlinson was a 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-6) winner in the opening round over
Eliana Shenk (Lebanon Valley) before falling to the #2 seed Alexa Cieri (Wilkes), 6-1, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.

Hope Hoppe was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over MacKennzie Crain (Arcadia) in the first round before falling to Rei Saar (Lycoming), 6-4, 7-5 in the quarterfinals.

Alyssa Vandenberge won 6-0, 6-0 in the first round over Emily Engelhardt (Lycoming) but suffered a 6-4, 6-1 loss to Lauren Visalli (Misericordia) in the quarterfinals.

Shoemaker was a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) winner in the quarterfinals on Saturday but fell to Nicole Pangiochi of Misericordia, 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinals on Sunday.

Kosa and Tomlinson teamed up to earn an 8-2 win in the opening round over Cautero/Driscoll (Hood) and then upset the #4 seed, McBride/Haas (Lebanon Valley), 8-3 in the quarterfinals to stay alive on Saturday. On Sunday the duo fell to the top seed, Pizzano/Brecker of Misericordia, 8-0
#2 Flight
Greco and Landau won 8-0 win in the opening round over Sasse/Cowperthwaite (Hood) and had an 8-3 win over Summerson/Checo (Alvernia) in the quarterfinals on Saturday. Sunday the combo fell to the #2 seed, Heaberlin/Marchisio of Stevens, 8-5.

Vandenberge and Hoppe were an 8-1 winner in the opening round but fell to Amerise/O'Neil of WIlkes in the quarterfinals, 8-3.

Meghan Pineau and Shoemaker took home the #4 doubles flight championship with an 8-4 win over Pangiochi/Atcavage of Misericordia in the semifinals and an 8-6 win over Kapchinske/Lee of Messiah University in the championship match.
