Women's Tennis Earns 5-4 Win at Lebanon Valley in First Match of Fall Season

Box Score Annville, PA (September 14, 2021) - The DeSales University women's tennis team earned a hard fought 5-4 win over Lebanon Valley College in their first team match of the 2021 fall season on Tuesday afternoon.

Doubles
DSU fell behind 2-1 in doubles as sophomore Hope Hoppe and sophomore Lindsay Shoemaker teamed to win 8-4 in the #3 doubles position.

Singles
The Bulldogs rallied down a point to win four of the six singles matches to take the match.  Senior Kirsten Kosa was a 6-0, 6-4 winner in the #1 spot and first-year Nyah Tomlinson was a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) winner at the No. 3 flight.

Fellow first-year Alyssa Vandenberge also earned a win in the No. 5 flight, 7-6 (8-1), 6-2 and Shoemaker rounded out the singles winners, earning two points in the match, 2-6, 6-0, 1-0 (15-13).

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, September 25th when they travel to Alvernia University beginning at 9:00 am.
