Big Second-Half Leads Men's Soccer past PSU-Berks, 5-1

Box Score Reading, PA (September 18, 2021) - The DeSales University men's soccer team scored five second-half goals to earn a 5-1 win over PSU-Berks in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Today's win was the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

How it Happened

The Nittany Lions got on the board first scoring with just 1:54 left in the first-half to take a 1-0 halftime lead.
The second-half was all Bulldogs as sophomore Elek McDonald tied the game at one 4:10 into the second-half.
Junior Dimeji Oyinkolade then gave DSU a 2-1 lead that started a string of three goals in the span of 2:05 to give the Bulldogs a 4-1 advantage.
DSU the posted the final tally with another goal in the 85th minute.

Oyinkolade finished with two goals and sophomore Larry Agyei had a goal and an assist.
First-year Tyler Steigerwalt also scored in the win.
Sophomore Eric Clouse and unior Sean Buzzee also had assists.
Senior Nathan Hatzfeld made four saves in goal.
