Williamsport, PA (January 15, 2022) - The DeSales University women's basketball team out-scored Lycoming College, 41-29, in the second-half to win its eighth straight game, 69-46, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs got off to a quick start taking an 8-2 early lead before Lycoming finished the first quarter out-scoring DeSales, 11-4, to take a 13-12 lead.
- The second quarter was back-and-forth with the Warriors holding a two-point advantage late before DSU took a 28-27 halftime lead on a three-pointer at the halftime buzzer from junior Megan Bealer.
- It was all DeSales in the second-half, holding Lycoming scoreless for the first 5:17 of the third quarter en route to a 13-0 run to take a 41-27 lead and never looked back from there.
- The lead was 12 after three quarters of play and peaked at 23 for the final margin (69-46).
Top Bulldog Performers
- Five players were in double digits led by senior Averi Jordan with 15 points and eight rebounds.
- Bealer recorded her first career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, adding four assists and four steals.
- Sophomore Mikaela Reese also notched her first career double-double with 11 points and a career-best 11 boards.
- Sophomore Lindsey Welsh had 11 points and fellow sophomore Amelia Saunders finished with 10 points off the bench.
For the Foes
- Allison Butler was the lone double digit scorer for the Warriors, finishing with 11 points.
Inside the Box Score
- DSU shook off a tough shooting first-half to hit 44.8 percent from the field in the second-half.
