Center Valley, PA (October 18, 2022) - The DeSales University women's soccer team fell behind early and was unable to recover falling to Stevens, 1-0, in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday afternoon.

The Basics

• Final Score: Stevens - 1, DeSales - 0
• Records: DeSales (9-4-2, 3-2 MAC Freedom); Stevens (6-6-3, 5-1 MAC Freedom)
• It is DSU's fourth straight loss to the Ducks, the last three of which have all come by one goal, as the Bulldogs fall to 2-5 all-time vs. Stevens.

How it Happened

• The lone goal of the game came in the 17th minute on a centering pass over the top of the defense to the back post where the Ducks' Sarah Wnorowski was all alone to score.
• DeSales had some really good chances in the second-half, the best off the foot of senior Sam Monteforte that went high.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Sophomore Emma Ribeiro led DeSales with three shots
• Junior Hannah Pacheco had a few really nice saves, seven total, to keep DeSales within one goal over the final 70 minutes.

For the Foes

• Zoe Hindman and Dana Perry split time in goal with each making one save.
• Jana Mucci earned an assist on the game-winner.

Inside the Box Score

• Stevens had a 17-6 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in shots on goal.
• The Ducks took nine of the 10 corner kicks.
