Jamaica, NY (November 12, 2022) - Six different players reached double digits leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past York College (NY), 87-71, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • DeSales used a 12-1 run early to open up a 14-6 lead on a three-pointer from junior Christian Guldin.
  • York fought back taking a 19-17 lead at the 9:24 mark of the opening half before a 9-3 mini run from DSU gave the Bulldogs a 36-30 lead at the break.
  • The Bulldogs used a 12-2 spurt to start the second-half pushing the lead up to 16 points and never really looked back from there leading by double digits the rest of the way.

  • Senior Jordan Holmqvist and Guldin each had 11 points, while first-year Nate Ellis had 10 points off the bench.
  • Sophomore Caleb Gibbs had eight points, a team-high 11 rebounds, and five assists.
