Hoboken, NJ (November 2, 2022) - The DeSales University volleyball team saw its season come to an end in a 3-0 loss at Stevens in the MAC Freedom semifinals on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened

• The first set was tight throughout that saw the Bulldogs trailing 19-18 late before Stevens scored four of the next five points to take a 23-19 lead and eventually the win.
• DSU led 3-1 lead in the second set before five straight points from the Ducks made it 5-3.
• Trailing 12-7, the Bulldogs scored five straight to tie score at 12.
• It remained tied at 22 before the Ducks scored three straight straight to finish off the set.
• The Ducks jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the third set and never really looked back from there.

Top Bulldog Performers

• First-year Abby Weise led the Bulldogs with 12 kills and added 11 digs and two blocks.
• Senior Austen Brewer had 10 kills.
• Junior Emma Notarfrancesco and senior McKenzie Brady led the with 11 and 10 digs respectively.
• Junior Grace Grandinetti had 21 assists.

For the Foes

• Cleo Shannon had nine kills and Elle Maggio and Liz Patterson each had seven kills.
• Vivian Lisboa totaled six blocks.
