Men's Basketball Cruises into MAC Freedom Semifinals after 104-45 Win over King's

Center Valley, PA (February 23, 2022) - The DeSales University men's basketball team was one assist shy of a team-record and shot 58.7 percent from the field rolling into the MAC Freedom Semifinals after a 104-45 win over King's College in the MAC Freedom Quarterfinals on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.

  • The win is DeSales' 13th straight in the series and moves the Bulldogs to 43-24 all-time vs. the Monarchs.
  • The Bulldogs will now host Lycoming College, a winner over Delaware Valley University on Wednesday, in the MAC Freedom semifinals on Friday evening at 8:00 pm in Billera Hall.
How it Happened
  • King's scored back-to-back baskets after DSU took a 2-0 lead, taking its only lead of the game, before the Bulldogs went on a 35-3 run over the span of 11:32 to take a 37-7 lead and never really looked back from there.
  • The lead was 29 at the half (45-16) and peaked with the final 104-45 tally.

  • Senior Timmy Edwards led the Bulldogs, who had 16 players reach the scoring column, with 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
