Throggs Neck, NY (March 19, 2022) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team saw its three-game win streak snapped with a 17-7 loss at Maritime on Saturday evening in non-conference action.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (4-3 overall); Maritime (4-0 overall)
• This was the first career meeting between the two teams.

How it Happened

• Maritime started strong scoring the first six goals of the game to lead 6-0 after one quarter.
• The Bulldogs scored first in the second quarter but Maritime added five more to finish the half, taking an 11-1 lead into the locker room.
• DSU played even with Maritime in the second half as each team scored three times in each quarter.

Top Bulldog Performers

• First-year Meagan Landers led the Bulldogs with two goals and an assist.
• Junior Tess Rodgers had two goals and senior Amanda Schultz and sophomore Hayley Petrosini each had a goal and assist.
• Rodgers added five draw controls and three caused turnovers.
• First-year Michaela Regan made 10 saves in between the pipes.

For the Foes

• Jenna Lesiewicz led all scorers with seven goals and an assist for eight points.
• Sara Wright had two goals and three helpers and Mackenzie Fabiani finished with three goals and two assists.
