Center Valley, PA (March 22, 2022) - The DeSales University women's tennis team opened its spring season with a 6-3 win over Messiah University in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
Doubles
DSU opened the match taking two of three matches in doubles competition. SeniorsÂ
Bailey Greco andÂ
Kirsten Kosa teamed to win 8-2 at the No. 1 position and sophomoresÂ
Hope Hoppe andÂ
Lindsay Shoemaker earned an 8-5 win at the No. 3 spot.
Singles
Kosa was a double winner in the No. 1 singles slot winning, 6-0, 6-3, while Greco also earned two wins taking a win in the No. 3 flight, 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8).
First-yearÂ
Nyah Tomlinson won 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 4 slot and Hoppe earned two points with a 6-3, 6-4 win at the No. 6 flight.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday when they host Saint Vincent College beginning at 12:30 pm.
