Center Valley, PA (April 10, 2022) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped the third game of the weekend series with Wilkes University, falling 5-4 at Weiland Park on Sunday afternoon.
Wilkes took a 2-0 lead on a two-run home run and eventually led 4-0 after four innings.
The two teams traded runs in the bottom of the fourth and top of the fifth inning made it a 5-1 game entering the eighth inning.
The Bulldogs got three two-out runs in the bottom of the eighth including a two-RBI single from seniorÂ
Trevor Leamer, but DSU was unable to mount a rally in the bottom of the ninth dropping the final game of the weekend set.

Robert Lamm had two of DSU's five hits. SophomoreÂ
Jared Drake took the loss allowing four runs over six innings, striking out four.
DSU is back in action on Tuesday when they host Keystone College beginning at 6:00 pm.
