Center Valley, PA (April 2, 2022) - The DeSales University women's tennis team opened up MAC Freedom play with a tight 5-4 loss to Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon.
Doubles
The Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead after doubles play and nearly went up 3-0 dropping the #1 flight match in a tiebreak. SophomoreÂ

Annie Rakos won 8-2 in the No. 2 doubles flight and sophomores
Hope Hoppe andÂ
Lindsay Shoemaker earned an 8-6 win in the No. 3 spot.
Singles
The Cougars rallied in the singles matches to earn the 5-4 win. Rakos got one of DSU's two singles points winning 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 and Hoppe won a hard fought match in the No. 6 flight, 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 6-4.
DSU is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Arcadia University with match time set for 3:30 pm.
