Women's Tennis Rolls past King's into MAC Freedom Postseason

Center Valley, PA (April 30, 2022) - The DeSales University women's tennis team earned an 8-1 win over King's College on Saturday afternoon clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason with the win.

DeSales will be the #4 seed and will travel to Stevens for the MAC Freedom semifinal matchup on Tuesday, May 3rd with a time to be announced.

Doubles
DSU took a 3-0 lead after doubles play as seniors Kirsten Kosa and Bailey Greco won 8-4 in the No. 1 spot, senior Annie Rakos teamed with sophomore Morgan Landau to win 8-2 in the No. 2 flight, first-year Alyssa Vandenberge and Nyah Tomlinson won 8-1 in the No. 3 spot.

Singles
Kosa was a 6-1 6-3 winner in the No. 1 spot, Rakos won 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 2 spot, and Landau won 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 flight. Greco won 6-2, 6-3 win the No. 4 position and Tomlinson rounded out the singles winners with a 6-1, 7-5 win n the No. 5 spot.
