Bethlehem, PA (May 2, 2022) - The DeSales University softball team dropped its final two games of the 2022 season at lcoal rival Moravian University in non-conference action on Monday afternoon.
Game One (L/4-5)
DSU took advantage of a Greyhound error in the third inning of game one taking a 3-0 lead after a two-RBI double from juniorÂ
Kayleigh Ferraro and RBI single from sophomoreÂ
Rebecca Kibler.
Moravian got one run back in the bottom of the third and took the lead for good in the fifth scoring four times to take a 5-3 advantage.
The Bulldogs got one run back in the sixth after an RBI single from juniorÂ
Olivia Ondrejca.
First-yearÂ
Rachel Lowry took the loss allowing five earned in 4 1/3 innings. Fellow first-yearÂ
Tabitha Lawless tossed 1 2/3 scoreless in relief.
Ferraro had two hits to lead the offense.
Game Two (L/1-12)
DeSales took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run from seniorÂ
Reilly Kerr but Moravian scored five times in the third and seven times in the fourth and never looked back from there.
Senior
Heather Hall suffered the loss allowing four runs over two innings. JuniorÂ
Victoria Agnoli had two of DSU's four hits.
