Men's Soccer Wins Fourth Straight with Another Late Goal

La Plume, PA (September 21, 2022) - The DeSales University men's soccer team scored two second-half goals including the game-winner with 25 seconds left to earn its fourth straight win, 2-1, at Keystone College on Wednesday evening.

The Basics
  • Final Score: DeSales - 2, Keystone - 1
  • Records: DeSales (4-2-1); Keystone (1-6)
  • DSU is now 5-0 all-time vs. the Giants in the first meeting since the 2007 season.
  • The Bulldogs have now won four straight and are unbeaten in their last five games.
How it Happened
  • Keystone took a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute and that advantage stood into the half.
  • First-year Kevin Krall got DSU on the board early in the second-half in the 50th minute on assists from senior Sean Buzzee and first-year Owen Maher.
  • The game seemed destined to end in a tie, much like the Muhlenberg game last week, when Maher volleyed home a loose ball in the box on a failed clear from the Giants defense giving DSU a 2-1 lead with just 25 seconds left.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • It was Krall's second goal of the season and Maher's team-leading fourth.
  • Senior Nathan Hatzfeld made six saves in goal.
