Salisbury, MD (September 24, 2022) - The DeSales University women's soccer team shook off a 2-0 hole early in the game to come from behind and earn a 3-2 win over Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

• Records: DeSales (4-2-2 overall); Salisbury (5-4 overall)
• The win avenges a 2-1 loss to the Seagulls at home last season to even the all-time series at one win apiece.

How it Happened

• Salisbury was in control early scoring the games' first two goals in the 15th and 26th minute.
• DeSales got one back just 4:12 after SU took a 2-0 lead as sophomore Emma Ribeiro scored for the third straight game.
• The Bulldogs appeared to still trail by one as the game inched towards halftime but graduate student Cassidy Klein bent in a corner kick with 16 seconds left to tie game at two.
• It remained a 2-2 game into the 84th minute when DSU found the game-winner as senior Sam Monteforte scored on a PK.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Ribeiro is now tied for the team lead with four goals and has scored in three straight games.
• Klein's marker is the first of the season for the graduate student and Monteforte netted her third of the year.
• Junior Kerrigan de Meij earned an assist on Ribeiro's tally.
• Junior Hannah Pacheco made six saves in goal.
