Grantham, PA (December 6, 2023) - The #20 DeSales University women's basketball team earned its seventh straight win taking down Messiah University, 64-46, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

- This was the 20th career meeting between the two with the Bulldogs winning their second straight to even the series at 10 wins each.
How it Happened
- DeSales jumped out early in this one scoring the first six points of the game and taking an 18-5 lead 7:27 into the game.
- Messiah cut the margin down to 10 points at the end of the first quarter and got within three points late in the second quarter before a three from junior Morgan Sterner gave DSU a 30-24 halftime lead.
- A back-and-forth third quarter saw DSU lead the entire way and regain its 10-point advantage after three quarters of play.
- The Bulldogs scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to open up a 15-point lead at the 8:37 mark and never really looked back from there as the lead swelled to as many as 20 points.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Senior Megan Bealer led the charge with a season-high 23 points, adding eight rebounds and three steals.
- Senior Mikaela Reese recorded her first double-double of the year with 19 points and 10 rebounds, adding four blocks.
- Senior Lindsey Welsh also reached double figures with 12 points.
- Senior Olivia Scotti had seven points and a career-high eight assists for the Bulldogs.
For the Foes
- Reese Harden led the Falcons with 16 points.
- Morgan Adams added 14 points and seven rebounds.
