Center Valley, PA (December 9, 2023) - Five different players scored in double figures and the DeSales University men's basketball team shot 52.0 percent in a 95-63 win over York College (NY) in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• A close game to start the contest saw York trailing 14-10 at the 13:39 mark when the Bulldogs broke it open with a 14-0 run to take a 28-10 lead.
• Seniors Jordan Holmqvist and Will Bowen started the run with three straight 3's, two by Bowen.
• The Cardinals got within 11 points (33-22) with 6:33 to go in the half but DSU finished the half on a 13-5 run to take a 52-31 lead into the locker room.
• The second-half was all DeSales as the lead never fell below 17 points and peaked at 32 points with 10:36 left in the game.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Bowen led the way with 15 points and added five boards, hitting three 3's.
• Senior Caleb Gibbs was one rebound shy of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, adding two blocks.
• Senior Elijah Eberly came off the bench to score 12 points and blocked three shots.
• Senior Mason Barnes had 11 points and a career-high tying eight assists.
• Senior Ryan Boylan also was in double digits with 10 points and eight rebounds and Holmqvist finished with eight points and six assists.

For the Foes

• Olawale Kila led the Cardinals with 16 points.
• Aidony Nivar added 11 points and Rohan Singh finished with 10 points.

• DeSales shot 52.0 percent from the field and held York to just 36.1 percent for the game.
• DSU handed out 29 assists on 39 made baskets.
• The Bulldogs also dominated the glass outrebounding York, 53-31, and scored 16 second chance points.
