Center Valley, PA (February 11, 2023) - The #8/9 DeSales University women's basketball team earned its seventh straight win, 88-54, over Immaculata University in the final non-conference game of the regular season on Saturday afternoon.

- It is DSU's seventh straight win overall and extends DeSales' school-record winning streak at home to 38 straight.

How it Happened
- DeSales scored the first seven points of the game and continued to lead by seven (22-15) after one quarter as IU stayed in the game hitting three first quarter 3's.
- The Bulldogs scored the first five points of the second quarter to take a 12-point lead and used a 12-0 run later in the quarter to take a 42-20 lead before heading into the locker room up 19 points.
- The lead swelled to as many as 36 points in the third quarter and peaked at 43 mid-way thru the fourth quarter before the final tally was posted.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Senior Megan Bealer was outstanding in the win finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds, recording her third double-double of the season, and adding four assists and six steals.
- Junior Abigail Rafferty added 12 points and pulled down eight boards, while fellow junior Amelia Saunders had 11 points off the bench.
- Juniors Lindsey Welsh and Mikaela Reese each had nine points with Welsh adding nine boards and four assists and Reese had three steals and three blocks.
For the Foes
- Erin Kelly and Abigail Lentowski each had 15 points to lead the Mighty Macs.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales shot 47.3 percent from the field and was an efficient 15-for-19 from the charity stripe.
- Immaculata kept itself in the game at the arc hitting 9-for-18 from deep.
- The Bulldogs dominated the paint out-rebounding IU, 47-21, and out-scoring the Mighty Macs, 54-8, in the lane.
- DSU took good care of the ball with just nine turnovers and forced 21 IU miscues.
