Glenside, PA (February 18, 2023) - The #8/9th ranked DeSales University women's basketball team wrapped up the regular season with an 86-37 win at Arcadia University in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

• Records: #8/9 DeSales (24-1, 15-1 MAC Freedom); Arcadia (14-11, 7-9 MAC Freedom)
• The Bulldogs finish the regular season with 24 wins for the first time since the 1989-90 season.
• It is DSU's eighth straight win over Arcadia and moves the all-time series to 23-1.

How it Happened

• After Arcadia scored the first two points of the game, DeSales scored 21 straight points to end the quarter on a 21-0 run and hit a 3 to start the second quarter to take a commanding 24-2 lead.
• The lead was 27 at the half and the Bulldogs never looked back in the second-half.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Senior Megan Bealer had another strong offensive performance scoring 22 points, hitting 3-for-4 from outside the arc.
• Junior Abigail Rafferty recorded double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds, adding five assists and two blocks.
• Junior Mikaela Reese finished with seven points and rebounds and fellow junior Lindsey Welsh had nine points and four assists.
• Senior Maria Newsome added seven points and junior Olivia Scotti had seven tallies off the bench.

• Delaney Bell and Hanna Rhoades each had eight points for the Knights.

• DSU shot 48.5 percent from the field and held Arcadia to just 28.6 percent shooting.
