Center Valley, PA (February 21, 2023) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team dropped its 2023 season home opener falling to Stockton University, 14-9, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

• The loss snaps a two-game win streak over Stockton and drops DSU to 3-6 in the all-time series.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead mid-way thru the first quarter before the Ospreys finished the first quarter with three straight goals to take a 4-2 lead.
• DSU fell behind 7-3 before making it a 7-4 game at the half on a man-up goal with 18 seconds left in the first-half.
• DeSales scored man-down to open up the third quarter to get within two goals and had a non-releaseable man-up situation with 1:46 left in third quarter down two goals but committed a turnover and the Ospreys scored with 12 seconds left in the third quarter to make it a 10-7 game.
• Stockton dominated the fourth quarter out-scoring DeSales, 4-2 to post the final margin.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Juniors Tyler Wolverton and Colin Adams each had two goals and an assist in the loss.
• Junior TJ Herron also scored twice and senior Dominic Maria had two helpers.
• Senior Beau Neff, first-year Taylor Wikert, and sophomore Eric Goliaszewski all had one goal.
• Senior Zach Broomall totaled 11 face-off wins and had eight ground balls.
• Junior Quinten Lyons totaled 16 saves in goal.

For the Foes

• Luc Swedlund had seven goals for the Ospreys.
• Dante Poli finished with two goals and three assists.
• Tyler Horvath won 15 face-offs and had 12 ground balls.
