Baltimore, MD (February 22, 2023) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team opened up the 2023 season with a 16-3 win over Goucher College in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened

• After scoring the first three goals of the game, Goucher scored two straight to get within a goal with 5:13 left in the first quarter.
• The Bulldogs finished the second quarter with three straight goals and then scored the only two goals of the second quarter to take an 8-2 lead into halftime.
• DSU put the game away with the first four goals of the second-half to lead 12-2 before posting the final score with the only four goals of the fourth quarter.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Senior Marina Bradley scored three goals and added an assist, while senior Amanda Schultz had two goals and two assists.
• Bradley is now just five points shy of tying the all-time scoring record of 126 points.
• Senior Dani Towey, junior Hayley Petrosini, and first-years Christina DiGuglielmo and Hailey Linebaugh all had two goals.
• Sophomore Meagan Landers, senior Kelsey Pogonyi, and first-year Bridey Lawler each scored once.
• Sophomore Michaela Regan made three saves in goal.
