Center Valley, PA (March 11, 2023) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team dropped a 9-6 decision in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon to Neumann University.

• DSU is now 1-1 all-time vs. Neumann after the loss.

How it Happened

• The first quarter was a back-and-fourth affair with each team scoring twice as the game was tied at two after 15 minutes of play.
• Neumann scored the first two goals of the second quarter before DSU got back within one but the Knights scored one more to take a 5-3 lead into the half.
• Neumann dominated the third quarter scoring the only three goals to claim an 8-3 lead.
• The Bulldogs scored two quick goals in the fourth quarter to get within three with 13 minutes left but were unable to get any closer.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Senior Amanda Schultz led the way with three goals and fellow senior Dani Towey had two goals.
• Junior Haley Petrosini finished with a goal and two assists and first-year Christina DiGuglielmo had two assists.
• Sophomore Michaela Regan made six saves in goal.

For the Foes

• Lindsey Fagan had six goals and Brylin Adams added three goals and two assists for the Knights.
• Catriona Corrigan was very good in goal making 15 saves.

Inside the Box Score

• DeSales out-shot Neumann 27-21 and had a 21-14 advantage in ground balls.
• DSU won 10-of-19 draw controls.
