Women's Lacrosse Falls at Misericordia, 14-10

Dallas, PA (April 12, 2023) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team dropped a 14-10 decision at Misericordia University in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.

The Basics

  • Records: DeSales (3-9, 0-3 MAC Freedom); Misericordia (6-6, 3-0 MAC Freedom)
  • DeSales falls to 0-6 all-time vs. the Cougars.
How it Happened
  • DSU took a 1-0 lead on a game from senior Marina Bradley and trailed by just one (5-4) after a goal from junior Hayley Petrosini at the start of the second quarter.
  • The Cougars out-scored DSU 4-0 over the final 3:54 of the second quarter to take a 9-4 lead into the halftime locker room.
  • After the Bulldogs scored first in the third quarter, MU scored four straight goals to take a 13-5 lead.
  • DeSales rallied with five of the final six goals but it was not enough to erase an eight goal deficit.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Bradley finished with three goals and an assist to lead the offensive attack. Bradley now stands just two goals shy of breaking the all-time record of 99 career goals.
  • Sophomore Meagan Landers had two goals and an assist and Petrosini had two goals.
  • Senior Dani Towey, first-year Hailey Linebaugh, and senior Amanda Schultz each scored once.
  • Sophomore Michaela Regan had 10 saves in goal.
For the Foes
  • Molly Celesky had three goals and an assist.
  • Rachel Shook and Emily Baro each had two goals and two assists.
Inside the Box Score
  • Misericordia out-shot DeSales, 32-22, and DSU had a slim 13-12 advantage in ground balls.
