Edwardsville, PA (April 26, 2023) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team tied the record for largest margin of victory rolling past Wilkes University, 21-1, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (8-7, 6-1 MAC Freedom); Wilkes (3-13, 1-6 MAC Freedom)
• The win is DSU's fifth straight overall.
• DeSales has now won four straight vs. Wilkes and improves to 5-2 all-time vs. the Colonels.
• The Bulldogs sit in a tie for second place with Arcadia University whom they host on Saturday in the regular season finale. The winner of that game will earn the #2 seed and earn the right to host the MAC Freedom semifinal match-up next week between those same two teams.

How it Happened

• There was little doubt in this one as DeSales led 3-0 after one quarter of play and exploded for eight goals in the second quarter to take an 11-0 lead at the half.
• DSU scored the first four goals of the third quarter before Wilkes got on the board snapping 15 straight goals for the Bulldogs.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Junior Colin Adams led all scorers with two goals and five assists for seven points.
• First-year students Jake Hurd and Kellen Baklund each had five points with Hurd scoring five goals and Baklund totaling four goals and one assist.
• Senior Domenic Maria and sophomore Jake Fratarcangeli each scored twice and senior Harrison Bodwell had three helpers.
• Senior Zach Broomall won 6-of-10 faceoffs and sophomore Anthony Gash was 9-for-11 in the faceoff with eight ground balls.
• Junior Quinten Lyons made eight saves in three quarters of play.

• Colby Opromolla had Wilkes lone goal.
