Glenside, PA (April 29, 2023) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team saw its 2023 season come to an end with a 20-11 loss at Arcadia University in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (6-11, 3-5 MAC Freedom); Arcadia (8-9, 5-3 MAC Freedom)
• This is the first loss to the Knights in three career meetings.

How it Happened

• After both teams traded goals to start the game, AU scored six of the next seven goals to take a 7-2 lead.
• The Bulldogs finished the quarter with a goal and scored the first goal of the second quarter to pull within three goals (7-4).
• The Knights responded with four of the next five goals to lead 11-5, but DeSales answered with three of the next four to stay close trailing by just four (12-8) before AU scored once more to lead 13-8 at the halftime break.
• Arcadia out-scored DeSales 3-2 in the third quarter to build its lead and never looked back in the fourth.

• Senior Marina Bradley led DSU with three goals and an assist.
• Senior Dani Towey and junior Hayley Petrosini each had two goals and one assist.
• Senior Amanda Schultz (1g, 1a) and firrst-year Hailey Linebaugh (2a) also had two points.
• First-year Emma Williamson had four caused turnovers.
• Junior Michaela Regan had 13 saves in goal.

• Ashley Starkey had seven goals and Morganne Dee finished with five goals and three assists.
