Center Valley, PA (September 23, 2023) - The DeSales University women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Washington College (MD) in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs opened the scoring in the 24th minute when junior Emma Ribeiro drew a penalty in the box and junior Tori Harnett scored on the PK, to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 heading to the half..
• Washington College (MD) tied the game up at 1-1 in the 67th minute when Kayla Streett connected on a shot from outside the box that was deflected and found the back of the net. 
• The Shorewomen scored the deciding goal in the 71st minute on a header from Kaileigh Brady off a corner kick entry from Kayla Streett.

• Harnett scored her team-leading third goal of the season.
• Junior Jozlyn Minnema had six saves in goal.

For the Foes

• Kayla Streett had a goal and tallied an assist.
• Kaileigh Brady scored the second goal.
• Hailey Sharpe made three saves in goal and recorded the win.
