Center Valley, PA (September 30, 2023) - The DeSales University men's tennis team took down Alvernia University, 8-1, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
It is DSU's fourth straight win over the Golden Wolves and improves DSU to 9-5 all-time vs. Alvernia.
Doubles
DSU took a 2-1 lead following doubles play as seniorÂ
Augie Citrone and first-yearÂ
Jatin Prabhakar won 8-4 in the #1 slot and graduate studentÂ
Mark Sherrill and juniorÂ
Zachary Marshall won 8-4 in the No. 2 position.
Singles
DeSales dominated the singles play taking all six matches. CItrone was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 1, Sherrill won 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7) at No. 2, and Prabhakar won 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 3 position.
Marshall won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4, first-yearÂ
Christopher Gomez won 6-0, 6-1 in the fifth spot, and sophomoreÂ
Nicholas Ofak won 6-4, 6-3 in the sixth position.
DeSales is back in action on tomorrow when they host Moravian University beginning at Noon.
