Caleb Gibbs scored a career-high 23 points and senior
Jordan Holmqvist poured in 19 points off the bench leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past King's College, 71-65, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

- DeSales trailed early (9-7) before a 10-3 run led by four points from Gibbs and a Holmqvist 3 put DSU up 17-12.
- The Bulldogs led by one late before closing the half out-scoring King's, 7-4, to take a 31-27 lead into the halftime locker room.
- King's was the aggressor to start the second-half taking a one-point advantage four times before DeSales countered with a 9-0 run led by five points from Holmqvist and buckets from Gibbs and senior Elijah Eberly.
- The lead remained nine after a 3 from senior Christian Guldin at the 1:50 mark.
- King's got a 3, a stop on the defensive end, and two free throws to pull within four with 42 seconds left.
- Gibbs did the rest hitting 4-for-4 from the charity stripe over the final 31 seconds to seal the win.

- Gibbs was 7-for-9 from the field and a perfect 9-for-9 from the foul line en route to his career-high 23 points while also adding eight rebounds.
- Holmqvist came off the bench to toss in a season-high 19 points and adding four assists.
