Madison, NJ (January 6, 2024) - The #22 DeSales University women's basketball team shook off a three-point first quarter deficit out-scoring FDU-Florham, 36-6, in the second quarter en route to a 90-40 win in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- The first quarter was back and forth with each team holding the lead at various points before the Devils claimed a 17-14 advantage following the first 10 minutes of play.
- DeSales left no doubt in the second quarter scoring the first 15 points to take a 29-17 lead including 3's from seniors Lindsey Welsh and Mikaela Rese as well as sophomore Mikaili Donmoyer.
- FDU got a bucket to get within 10 points before a 17-0 run to nearly close out the quarter gave DSU a 27-point advantage heading into the locker room.
- The Bulldogs out-scored the Devils, 26-12, in the third quarter and rolled to its second conference win the rest of the way.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Reese posted her fifth double-double of the year with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
- Senior Amelia Saunders came off the bench to pour in 16 points.
- Donmoyer and senior Megan Bealer each had 12 points.
- Senior Olivia Scotti finished the game with 10 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
- Welsh added eight points and four steals.
For the Foes
- Neysa Aguilar led the Devils as the lone player in double digits with 12 points.

- DSU shot 50.7 percent from the field, including an impressive 72.2 percent during the second quarter.
- The Bulldogs held FDU to just 25.5 percent from the floor.
