Ellie Kozich punched an individual ticket to the NCAA Division III National Championships and senior
Haley Estus also earned All-Region honors leading the DeSales University women's cross country team to a 12th place finish at the NCAA Division III Metro Region Championships on Saturday morning.
The Bulldogs finished 12th of 25 teams with two runners in the Top 20.
Kozich earns an automatic trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships finishing fourth overall to earn All-Region honors with a time of 22:11.9. She becomes the 10th DeSales runner to advance to the National Championships as an individual and the first since
Amelia Smith in 2022. The National Championships race will be next Saturday in Terre Haute, IN.
Estus also earned All-Region, given to all the runners finishing in the Top 35, with a 21st place finish in a time of 23:18.1. It is the second time Estus has taken home All-Region honors also earning the honor in 2022.
Rounding out DSU's top five were senior
Nina Viglianti who placed 78th in a time of 25:08.2, sophomore
Andie Hollander in 102nd place in a time of 26:03.0, and sophomore
Angelina Klein in 108th place in a time of 26:21.1.
