Maddie Trocki scored three goals but the DeSales University field hockey fell just short in a hard fought 5-3 loss at Stevens in the MAC Freedom semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.

- Stevens took a 1-0 lead just 3:17 into the game on a goal from Emily Smart.
- The Bulldogs needed just 4:12 to tie the score at one on Trocki's first tally on a blast off a corner and pass from first-year Mia Carder.
- The Ducks reclaimed the one goal margin just 34 seconds later and took its first two goal lead at 11:24 to finish off the first quarter scoring.
- Trocki scored her second 5:56 into the second quarter to make it 3-2, but Stevens got that marker back to take a 4-2 lead into the half.
- Neither team scored in the third quarter before Trocki got DeSales back within a goal in the 52nd minute off another nice pass from Carder.
- The Ducks got the insurance goal back on penalty stroke with 3:43 left and the Bulldogs ran out of rallies.

- Trocki finishes her season with a team-high 15 goals and ends her career with a school-record 58 goals, 26 assists, and another school-record 142 points.
- Carder records two assists, giving her three on the season.
