Women's Soccer Falls to Stevens in MAC Freedom Semifinals, 3-1

Hoboken, NJ (November 6, 2024) - The DeSales University women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Stevens in the MAC Freedom semifinals on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened
  • After a scoreless first-half the Bulldogs struck quickly in the second-half as junior Makayla Issakhani drew a foul in the box setting up a PK just 35 seconds into the second-half.
  • Senior Tori Harnett cashed in the PK giving DSU a 1-0 lead.
  • The Ducks needed just 2:18 to tie the score as Elsa Bley scored from about 40 yards out on a ball just under the crossbar and threw the Bulldogs' keepers hands.
  • The game remained scoreless into the 65th minute when Stevens took the lead for good, adding an insurance goal in the 70th minute.

  • It was Harnett's second goal of the season for the Bulldogs.
  • First-year Saige Santa Cruz had six saves in goal.
