Troy, NY (February 24, 2024) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team dropped a 19-9 decision at #9 RPI in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon

How it Happened

• DeSales scored the first goal of the game and after a goal from sophomore Mark Winkler Jr. DSU trailed by just two (5-3) after one quarter of play.
• RPI dominated the second quarter scoring all four goals to take a 9-3 lead at the half.
• RPI tallied the first three goals of the third quarter to take a 12-3 lead before the Bulldogs scored three of the next four to pull within 13-6.
• RPI scored with 15 seconds left in the third and the first two goals of the fourth quarter to take a 10-goal lead and never looked back from there.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Junior Nate Perry had three goals and senior Colin Adams had a goal and three assists.
• Sophomore Michael Wilburn added a goal and two assists and first-year Griffin Adams had two goals.
• Junior Anthony Gash won 16-of-27 face-offs and had seven ground balls.
• Senior TJ Lowe made 21 saves in between the pipes.

For the Foes

• Luke Murphy led RPI with five goals and one assist.
• Angelo Venuto won 12 face-offs and had 12 ground balls.
• Tyler Ruffini finished with two goals and four assists.

Inside the Box Score

• RPI out-shot the Bulldogs, 54-31, and had a slim 41-35 advantage in ground balls.
