Madison, NJ (April 10, 2024) - The DeSales University women's tennis team stayed unbeaten in MAC Freedom play sweeping FDU-Florham, 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
DSU improves to 7-2 overal and 2-0 in the MAC Freedom.
Doubles
DSU swept all three doubles matches losing just three total games. SeniorÂ
Morgan Landau teamed with juniorÂ
Alyssa Vandenberge to win 8-1 in #1 flight, seniorÂ
Hope Hoppe paired with sophomoreÂ
Lilah Maus to win 8-0 in the second position, and sophomoreÂ
Emily Prokopovich joined juniorÂ
Tara Clark to win 8-2 in the #3 spot.
Singles
Landau earned the win in the #1 position, 6-1, 6-1, Hoppe was a 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) winner in the second flight, and Vandenberge was a 6-0, 6-2 winner in the third spot. Maus won 6-0, 6-0 in the fourth spot, Prokopovich won 6-0, 6-0 in the fifth flight, and Clark was an 8-4 winner in the #6 position.
DSU is back in action on Saturday when they host Misericordia University in another MAC Freedom match beginning at 1:00 pm.
