Glenside, PA (April 16, 2024) - The DeSales University women's tennis team dropped a tight 5-4 decision at Arcadia University in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs ddrop their second straight and fall to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in the MAC Freedom.

Doubles
DeSales fell behind 2-1 after doubles play as senior Hope Hoppe and sophomore Lilah Maus earned DSU's lone point with an 8-4 win in the #2 spot in the lineup.

Singles
The match came down to the very last singles match with the score tied at four after junior Alyssa Vandenberge won 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 in the #3 flight, Maus won 6-0, 6-3 in the #4 spot, and sophomore Emily Prokopvich was a 6-3, retired winner in the fifth flight. Arcadia was able to take the other three singles matches, including the clincher to earn the win.

DSU is back in action on Saturday when they host Stevens in another MAC Freedom match set to begin at 1:00 pm.
