Anthony Gash broke the single-game record for ground balls with 23 as he dominated the faceoff circle leading the DeSales University men's lacrosse team past Lebanon Valley College, 20-16, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

- Today was the first meeting since the 2011 season moving DSU to 2-1 in the all-time series.
How it Happened
- This game was back-and-forth the entire first-half with DeSales taking the largest lead of the half after three straight goals mid-way thru the first quarter (5-2).
- A goal from junior Nate Perry tied the score at 10 entering the halftime locker rooms.
- It was all DeSales in the second-half as the Bulldogs scored three of the first four goals and out-scored LVC, 5-2, in the third quarter to take a 15-12 lead.
- After LVC started the scoring in the fourth quarter, DSU killed a two-man penalty sparking a five goal run that put the game out of reach giving the Bulldogs a 20-13 lead with 4:25 to go.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Perry led DSU with four goals and two assists for six points.
- Sophomore Mark Winkler Jr. had four goals, senior Colin Adams had two goals and three assists, and first-year DJ Verkade had three goals and two helpers.
- Adams became the 16th player in team history to score 100 career points with his five points.
- Senior Beau Neff added two goals and one assist.
- Gash was outstanding winning 32-of-29 faceoffs, one shy of the single-game record. He set a new single-game record with 23 ground balls and had one goal and one assist.
- Senior TJ Lowe had 13 saves in between the pipes.
For the Foes
- Colin Hughes led LVC with four goals and an assist.
- Alex Kiviniemi (3g, 1a), Jake Bollinger (2g, 2a), and Hayden Carling (1g, 3a) all had four points.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales out-shot Lebanon Valley, 51-44, and dominated ground balls, 48-22.
