Glenside, PA (April 27, 2024) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team clinched the #2 seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament with an 8-7 win over Arcadia University in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Final Score: DeSales - 8, Arcadia - 7
• Records: DeSales (10-6, 6-1 MAC Freedom); Arcadia (10-7, 5-2 MAC Freedom)
• It is DSU's third straight win over the Knights improving the Bulldogs to 8-3 all-time in the series.
• This will be DeSales' 11th appearance and fourth straight season the Bulldogs advance to the MAC Freedom postseason tournament.
• The Bulldogs will be hosting a rematch with the Knights in the MAC Freedom semifinals on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:00 pm.

How it Happened

• Arcadia had a 1-0 lead at the end of a low scoring first quarter.
• The Bulldogs rebounded dominating the second quarter scoring all four of the goals to lead by three at the half.
• The Knights scored the first three goals of the second-half to tie the game as the two teams traded goals to end the quarter deadlocked at five.
• DSU scored two goals in the first 53 seconds of the fourth quarter to take a 7-5 lead.
• After AU got within a goal, senior Colin Adams scored to give DSU a two-goal lead back and held off a late Knight rally.

• Adams, junior Nate Perry, and senior TJ Herron each scored twice.
• Senior TJ Lowe made 12 saves in between the pipes.

• Tristan Johnson had three goals and Lukas Santore added two.
